Tea for Tomorrow 2017 was a huge success - Charity High Tea

Posted by on

Let me just begin by saying a very big THANKYOU to all of the wonderful people who joined us at The Grounds of Alexandria for our annual ‘Tea for Tomorrow’ fundraiser. The day was filled with delicious sweets, tempting teas and amazing company. There was such a beautiful and positive vibe in that space on the day and I honestly could not be filled with more gratitude. Together as a community, we more than doubled last years fundraising amount, raising a total of $5000 for the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.

For those who are not entirely familiar with the Australian Cancer Research Foundation, they are a not for profit charity that funds research for ALL types of cancer. Their aim is to simply speed up the discoveries for this devastating disease which unfortunately affects one in three Australians. In fact, the ACRF was the organization which funded the research behind the cervical cancer vaccine - which has, since it’s release in 2006, been given out to over 187 million people around the world.

So again, a BIG thank you! Without the support from YOU, cancer research would simply not continue. It is important we band together to make sure the research is on-going with more funds being raised, in order for us and the next generation to have effective facilities and treatment.

Check out all the pictures captured of the day by the very talented Frank Trimarchi here ...

Also, just a very special mention to our fabulous sponsors who generously donated their time, product and support for the big day!

See you at next years high tea, it is going to be a big one!
